Applications are invited for Fully Funded Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships in UK. Applications are open for Australian and International Students to pursue an undergraduate degree at The Newcastle University in the 2019-2020 academic year.

The aim of this scholarships is to encourage and support academically able and talented students.

Benefits for Fully Funded Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships:

50% or 100% of tuition fees will be awarded.

Nationality: To be considered for the 50% scholarships applicants must be a national of one of the following countries: Algeria, Egypt, India, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mauritius, Morocco, Turkey, and the USA. To be considered for the 100% scholarships applicants must be a national of one of the following countries: USA, India.

Number of Scholarships: Up to 15 scholarships are available. There are 13 50% tuition fee scholarships and 2 100% scholarships.

Eligibility for Fully Funded Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships: 

Eligible Countries: To be considered for the 50% scholarships applicants must be a national of one of the following countries: USA, India, Malaysia, South Africa, Kenya, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey, Algeria, and Morocco
To be considered for the 100% scholarships applicants must be a national of one of the following countries: USA, India.

Entrance Requirements: To be considered for the 50% scholarships applicants must:

be a national of one of the following countries: Algeria, Egypt, India, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mauritius, Morocco, Turkey, and the USA

  • be assessed as international for fee purposes
  • hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city center campus for the 2019/20 academic year
  • already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent

Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of the application.

To be considered for the 100% scholarships applicants must:

  • be a national of one of the following countries: USA, India
  • be assessed as international for fee purposes
  • hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city center campus for the 2019/20 academic year

English Language Requirements for Fully Funded Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships: 

 If English is not the applicant’s first language they will need to provide a recognized English language test or qualification. In most cases, you will need an overall score of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. Students will also need at least IELTS 5.5 or equivalent in each of the four sub-skills: Writing, Reading, Speaking or Listening
